10% environmental discount for electric cars
APCOA is committed to the environment and has therefore introduced environmental discounts in selected areas. The purpose is to encourage the use of electric vehicles and reduce the CO2 footprint.
To qualify for an environmental discount, the car must have a standard electric car licence plate (i.e. licence plate number starting with the letters EL, EK, EV or similar).
Rewards work.
Environmental discounts are a well-known measure to increase the number of electric cars on Norwegian roads, including in the toll rings. An overview from the Norwegian Electric Car Association in December 2023 showed that there is a clear correlation between this type of financial incentive and the use of electric cars.
Areas with sign recognition
In areas with licence plate recognition, you will receive the discount automatically when you are read by the cameras at the entrance of electric cars with standard licence plate numbers (i.e. licence plate numbers starting with EL, EK, EV, etc.).
The easiest way for you is to register a profile with an electric car in the APCOA FLOW app and tick the automatic deduction box. The environmental discount is automatically applied to your car park. In addition, you also get the discount on vending machines or by choosing one of our two Park & Go products.
Areas where you start and stop parking
In areas where you start and stop the car park yourself, you must use a parking app, such as APCOA FLOW, in order to receive an environmental discount. If you have registered an electric car in the app with a standard electric car licence plate number (i.e.)
