10 % Discount for Electric Cars
For us in APCOA the environment is an important aspect of our business model, hence we have implemented an environmental discount for electric cars on some of our carparks.
To be able to benefit from our environmental discount, your electric car needs to have a standard Norwegian license plate (i.e. license plates starting with the letters EL, EK, EV etc.).
Rewards work
Environmental discounts is a know measure to increase the number of electric vehicles on Norwegian roads, for instance through the toll rings. An overview provided by Elbilforeningen in December of 2023 showed that there is a clear connection between such economic incentives and the use of electric cars.
Carparks with licence plate recognition
On our carparks with license plate recognition (ANPR-solution) you will automatically get the environmental discount when entering our carpark. The cameras will register your license plate, and if you have a standard Norwegian license plate (i.e. license plates starting with the letters EL, EK, EV etc.).
The simplest way for you to pay and benefit from our environmental discount is to register yourself and your electric car in the app APCOA FLOW and allow for automatic payments. The environmental discount will automatically be added to your parking, and you would not need to think about your parking anymore. Additionally, you have the option to pay on our payment machine, on web within 48 hours or by receiving an invoice.
Carparks where you start and stop your parking
On carparks where you start and stop the parking yourself, will you have to use a parking app, for instance APCOA FLOW, to receive the environmental discount. If you have registered an electric vehicle in your parking app with a standard Norwegian license plate (i.e. licence plates starting with the letters EL, EK, EV etc.) the environmental discount will be added automatically when you select your time for parking and parking with an electric vehicle.
